The forest block consists of new buildings proposed for the triangular piece of land located at the intersection of Laajaniityntie and Laajaniitynkuja. In the proposal, the apartment blocks are suggested to be placed on the parking lot owned by the Laajaniity Property Ltd.
The parking spaces in the proposal are situated in the surrounding parking structures. Underground parking is not recommended in the plan to allow for the planting of large trees typical of the area in the courtyard.
The architecture of the new buildings can boldly introduce its own layer to the area, for example, through modern timber construction. In the plan, the townhouse typed buildings are suggested to combine the typology of terraced houses and small apartment buildings with the apartment blocks, to provide an opportunity for urban living right by the railway tracks in a terraced house-like setting.
